James 4
1-2Where do you think all these appalling wars and quarrels come from? Do you think they just happen? Think again. They come about because you want your own way, and fight for it deep inside yourselves. You lust for what you don't have and are willing to kill to get it. You want what isn't yours and will risk violence to get your hands on it. 2-3You wouldn't think of just asking God for it, would you? And why not? Because you know you'd be asking for what you have no right to. You're spoiled children, each wanting your own way.

4-6You're cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn't care? The proverb has it that "he's a fiercely jealous lover." And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you'll find. It's common knowledge that "God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble." 7-10So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he'll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet. 11-12Don't bad-mouth each other, friends. It's God's Word, his Message, his Royal Rule, that takes a beating in that kind of talk. You're supposed to be honoring the Message, not writing graffiti all over it. God is in charge of deciding human destiny. Who do you think you are to meddle in the destiny of others?


I wanted to post this section of scripture from the message bible there where a couple of parts that really stood out to me. The first part James says "Where do these appalling quarles come from do you think they just happen?" sometimes it so easy to blame someone else even if it us who started the fight, who started the rumors. Then he goes on to say "if all you want is your own way your flirting with the world and God wants no part of that." you end up becoming an enemy of the world I just love how people always look at each other and blame each other when it was them all along. God knows the truth and he loves you so much but we have choices in our lives all the time what are you going to choose, to choose to flirt with the world and become an enmey of God or Shout NO!! to Satan and watch him run. Then all you have to do is say a queite 'yes' to God and he will hear you no matter where you are. Its time to get serious!! It's time to get on your knees and ask for forgiveness and get back to your true love.

2-4Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don't try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.

Hello faith under Pressure!!

I just love what James writes here faith under pressure. If things in our life were not a challenge how would we ever grow. What if life is always a bed of roses? Instead of getting down on yourself when life doesn't go the way that you want, maybe we should look at it a little diffrent. Look at life through James eyes, consider it all joy, or as the message puts it consider it a gift. We need to stand up when life gets hard not get pushed down. When things get hard that is when our true color come out people see who we really are. What are your true colors? Are you going to work at the problem? or give up? because if the problem seems to big, the choice is yours, the attitude is your choice and you need to decide. So find the joy in the hard time, rejoice when things get a little tough, because you are going to grow and stronger

This is the team of youth that is going overseas this year to Barbados to do missions work. God is going to really use everyone of these young people. My prayer for them is that they come back changed, so that they can be a light in there school and at their jobs.
